Our "Candy Apples" kiln formed cast glass artisan necklace is a lovely, handcrafted, heirloom quality wearable art piece that will become a cherished statement of your unique personal style. The focal is a 1/2" thick, triangular, abstract cast glass cabochon, combining rich red and deep pink art glass frits with dichroic (means color shifting) rainbow gems and stringers. The fired glass piece is a colorful, fascinating melange of textures and contrast, creating mysterious depth.
The cabachon is mounted to a hammered copper triangular base which is punched and hand sewn with pure copper wire. The focal is surrounded by genuine garnet nuggets strung with pure copper wire and naturally died banana fiber. A strip of handwoven African flat cord highlights the base of the central focal. Genuine amethyst beads and copper wire suspends the focal from an African round woven cord arc finished with solid copper end caps. A handcrafted pure copper chain completes the necklace, which closes with a hook and eye clasp
