The focal is a 3/8" thick, heart shaped cast glass cabochon, combining rich reds, rootbeer, and amber glass frits with dichroic (means color shifting) shapes and stringers. The fired glass piece is a colorful, fascinating melange of textures and contrast, creating mysterious depth.
The glass heart is cast with two holes, and copper wire is looped through those holes to suspend the heart from an African round woven cord arc.. A handcrafted pure copper chain completes the necklace, which closes with a cast metal copper finished leaf toggle clasp.
