"White Birch Forest" Fine Art Glass Panel
"White Birch Forest" is a sparkling, handmade kiln formed glass fine art panel. It is part of the Trees Series in the "V" collection which celebrates the life and art of the French impressionist painter, Vincent Van Gogh. Trees were a favorite subject of Van Gogh, and he painted many of them.
The style of this glasswork is Modern Impressionistic Abstract, and it captures the iconic pattern of birch bark on tree trunks in an extended, panoramic view of a forest.
White Birch Forest was created by hand stenciling black glass powder onto a white glass base panel, and continuing the stenciling process on white glass strips of varying width. The strips were then shaded by hand with additional black glass powder. The base panel and strips were then fired to a contour fuse to create the textural effect. The panel is mounted with elevation above its aluminum presentation panel. Mounted size: 36"w x 13"h x 3"d.
