"Creative Path" Fine Art Glass Panel
"Creative Path" is a one-of-a-kind, handmade kiln formed glass fine art panel. It is part of the Trees Series in the "V" collection which celebrates the life and art of the French impressionist painter, Vincent Van Gogh. Trees were a favorite subject of Van Gogh, and he painted many of them.
The style of this glasswork is Modern Abstract Impressionism., leaning more heavily towards the abstract character. It suggests the journey all creatives must experience, navigating the kaleidoscope of influences and distractions, endeavoring to stay the course toward some uncertain discovery.
Deep Woods employs one of my signature techniques of embedding shards of glass into layers of glass powder, and firing to a full fuse to create the appearance of stone. The panel is mounted with elevation above its aluminum presentation panel.
